The former 400m world champion is back home waiting for further action from the Commonwealth Games Federation.
She is currently suspended from athletics which is the reason why she is not part of the Botswana team at the Africa Senior Athletics Championships in Morocco.
Both the athlete and the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC), through a media release, have said Montsho will not comment on the pending doping case.
“Amantle has requested that until the ongoing anti-doping case is concluded she would not undertake any media engagements to focus her attention and energy on the case,” the BNOC statement said. BNOC and Botswana Athletics Association said they respected Amantle’s wishes and urged the public to accord her the same support.
In her statement, Montsho said she has not yet been informed about the outcome of the B sample result. She pledged to fully cooperate with the World Anti-Doping Agency on the matter.
“...as investigations are still on-going, I intend to cooperate fully with the World Anti-Doping Agency until a final determination on the matter is made. “Given the nature and sensitivity of the proceedings, I will not be available for any kind of interviews so as not to compromise the integrity of the process,” Montsho said.
