Tladi outclasses Shining Stars

Shining Stars skipper, Thatayaone Tshose chose to bat first after winning the toss.

Opening batsmen, Rashaad Mosweu and Tumelo Molema scored briskly to lay a solid foundation.

The partnership was broken when bowler Tahir Patel bowled Molema for 30 off 35 deliveries.  Inzimam Master came in to partner Mosweu but he did not last long as he was eliminated by Tahir Patel falling LBW for a duck.  Obakeng Eyman and Mosweu tried to rebuild the innings but Karabo Motlhanka stumped the former from an Imran Khan delivery.

Mosweu departed next after being caught by Motlhanka as Khan claimed his second wicket.  Skipper Tshose came in to form a solid partnership with Thabo Motlhabane.

Motlhabane was out for 21 as Shining Stars were all out for 221.

Tladi’s opening batsman Saad Mohyudin and Firoz Ghaswala started off their batting on a slow note as Motlhabane bowled out Mohyudin for one.

Mohd Ur Rahat came in to face the ball but Tshose bowled him out before he could settle down.  Motlhanka came in to form a partnership with Ghaswala, but the two batsmen struggled to get runs in the first four over of their collaboration as the Shining Stars pacers Tshose and Motlhabane made it difficult.

However the batsman managed to penetrate and score at a decent rate.

Motlhanka managed to get a couple of boundaries before being bowled by spinner Mmoloki Mooketsi for  47 runs.

The score was 106 runs in the 28th over.

Imran Khan came in to partner Ghaswala for a short period as he was bowled out by Mooketsi.  All-rounder Imran Pathan came in to face the ball helping his teammate Ghaswala to continue with the good run rate but the all-rounder’s stumps were uprooted by pacer Tshwene.  Nabeel Master lasted five minutes before Thabang Nshomane removed him.

His successor Manu Michael went out for a duck. Last man  in Tahir Patel’s solid strikes drove his team past the Shining Stars’ score as Tladi closed on 212 runs.
