Soldier shoots himself dead

The Assistant Station Commander of Central Police Station Edward Leposo confirmed the case saying they are not in a position to disclose where the man aged between 40-50 years was working, neither can they reveal his initials because his family members have not yet been informed about his death.

“Yes we have that case with us here but we are not in a position to disclose where he was working together with his name as it would not be a good thing for his family members to see that information in newspapers before they can be properly informed, “ he said.

According to the police, the soldier shot himself with his private gun, at between 4am and 5am, but his family members said that they do not know what could have driven him to shoot himself.

He said that the deceased’s body is currently at the mortuary awaiting post mortem.
