Sedibeng Sa Lerato Trust receives donations

Speaking during handing over ceremony, Flying Mission communications manager Paul Tanner said they started supporting the trust in 2011.

“Flying Mission supports this trust by mobilising resources, providing advice and training.

Since it is cold, we are also providing jackets and scarves,” said Tanner.

Tanner said although they are offering support to Sedibeng Sa Lerato, the trust needs more support, especially now that it was allocated a plot in June and they now develop it.

“Sedibeng Sa Lerato is still looking for donations to buy the building materials.

They also need food as they feed 150 children every Friday.  We ask everyone to see how he can support and assist the Sedibeng Sa Lerato Trust to run and expand this project here in Gabane,” he said.

Duke Masilo, the patron of Sedibeng Sa Lerato said the trust started supporting 10 children and now they have increased the number to 150.

He said they do not have shelter or facilities.

“The trust has just been allocated a plot, but now the challenge is how they are going to build this plot.

They need donations to build because they are expanding as they now offer counselling and teach on life skills,” said Masilo.

Masilo commended the founders of the trust for their efforts in teaching and supporting the children.

He said: “This is a good initiative because children will grow up with good morals, and they are offered  the love and support that they need.

This family is a blessing to the country.”
