Just across the border in South Africa’s northwest province, Mafikeng fm has played the track a couple of times, while Mozolo fm in the Free State has also played it.  This overjoyed Oxy.

“I am obviously happy about that because I initially did not expect this to happen so quickly.  A presenter from Mafikeng heard it while I was performing in Sebele and took it.  Since then it has been playing that side. The Mozolo fm deejay is actually a Motswana and has shown a lot of support,” Oxy told Showbiz.  The single was released early this year and has gotten its fair share of airplay locally.  It was produced by DJ Drums and recorded and mixed by Meggohmatic Willie at MDE Records.

“The people I worked with on this one did a splendid job.  People who have listened to the song feel we outdid ourselves. I am hoping the EP will surpass this,” he said.

“The EP is almost done, but I need to give the single a little more push in terms of marketing,” he added. The new EP is also produced by DJ Drums with MDE Records also doing the recording and mixing.  He is targeting end of the year for its release as he intends to make the most of the single.

The man who hails from Palapye has been on the fringes of the local music industry for the last two years and is convinced his single could set him up for success.

He describes his music as a fusion of both House and Motswako, and a bit of dance music flair.

He already has one mixtape Sandwich under his belt and has already performed with DJ Clock at Limkokwing University‘s Freshers’ Ball.  His single is available for download through his official Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/OXY1Mill/info
