Botswana Police celebrates 130 years

 

This year’s theme is ‘Policing Challenged into Opportunities owards 2016’. Guests of the BPS commissioner, Keabetswe Makgophe, will be his counterparts from Lesotho, Kizito Mhlakaza and Isaac Magagula of Swaziland.

Senior Superintendent Christopher Mbulawa explained that the day celebrates excellence in the service to the nation.

“This is a time for us to look back on the challenges we have been having, although we have such but also one can safely say we are making strides in policing the country and servicing the nation,” said Mbulawa.

Mbulawa explained that on Friday night, 300 deserving police officers will be awarded medals of excellence by President Khama.
