The R&B ladies’ man serenaded the audience with his soulful music on Saturday evening at Boipuso Hall.

Lattimore, who took the stage after midnight made up for coming on stage at that late hour with his stunning performance. Upon taking the stage, the singer announced that he would be starting his performance with his songs from the beginning of his career and kick started with one of his hits, Never Too Busy.

The singer proved the beauty and quality of music produced in the 90’s before pop culture songs took centre stage. Lattimore sang his heart out and showed how good music is timeless and actually gets better with time.

While onstage he took time to interact with the audience and told them that through his music and singing about love, he is able to express and say what most men don’t voice out. The singer declared his music as, “a gift from God to speak to the hearts of women through the minds of men.” He added that the music communicates men’s thoughts and embodies what they stand for, though they might not say it that often. “Communication is conversation and how we live by it is continuous so music has to be good and have a purpose.”

Lattimore’s performance was preceeded by South African songbird Siphokazi, Local artists Shanti Lo and Samantha Mogwe.
