He replaced Boyce Sebetlela whose tenure as the vice president administration for the association ended on Saturday. Sebetlela did not seek re-election, paving way for a contest between Ntwaagae, Ramotlhwa and Babitseng. Babitseng garnered 54 votes while 51 delegates voted Ramotlhwa. Ntwaagae only managed to get four votes.

Ramotlhwa has served in the position before both under both Philip Makgalemele and David Fani eras. In other positions, Marshlow Motlogelwa replaced Gabriel Ngele as the vice president finance, marketing and research. Motlogelwa was unopposed after Rapula Otukile withdrew from contesting for the position on the last day. Senki Sesinyi and Suzie Montsho also became new members of the BFA national executive committee as additional members, replacing Tshepo Mphoeng and Gaolathe Kelesitse. The two positions were contested by three other people, Patrick Zibochwa, Olaotse Mmualebe and Moruakgomo Otukile besides Montsho and Sesinyi. Sesinyi garnered 50 votes, while Montsho had 70 votes. Zibochwa received 37 votes; Otukile had 45 while Mmualebe received no vote.

Sebego welcomed the new committee members and advised them to fully commit to taking Botswana football to the highest level. He also paid tribute to the outgoing members for having served the association with great determination.

He said Sebetlela has guided the executive committee on issues of governance and strategy during his tenure as the vice president administration. “Ngele for the past four years has ensured that the BFA presents unqualified audited reports and for that we remain grateful.

Further, your strict adherence to principles of finance controlled our balance sheet very well,” Sebego said. He also praised Mphoeng who he said, always ensured that NEC decisions spoke the needs of the association’s structure. He said Kelesitse experience in the corporate world was of great importance to the committee.

During his address before the lections were held, BFA president, Tebogo Sebego had pleaded with the delegates to vote people who will work hard and put the needs of football before everything else.

He said the office requires people who can make hard decisions without fear. Most importantly we need to vote into office people who will support the visions of the current leadership to ensure progress and implementation of the football agenda as mandated by this very body,” he said.
