Rollers, Gunners Duel In Kabelano

Chiefs and GU match will kick start the tournament before Rollers and Gunners meet immediately after. In the last edition of the one-day knockout spectacular, Gunners defeated Rollers 1-0 courtesy of Mponang Mponang’s strike before they lost to Chiefs in the final. Chiefs had beaten Nico United in the other semi final before they met Gunners in the final.

Rollers will be without at least five of their key players who form part of the Zebras team traveling to Guinea Bissau for the second leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Goalkeeper, Mwampule Masule and defenders, Leutlwetse Tshireletso, Oscar Ncenga, Obonye Moswate and Otlantshekela Mooketsi will leave this week with Zebras for crucial encounter with the West African side. They have however signed exciting player, Segolame Boy who is expected to make an official debut for his side. Gunners on the other hand will unleash their new signings, Kemmy Pilato, Tshepo Maikano and Isaac Paeye among others. Gunners have already played couple of friendly matches in preparation for the up coming season.

Chiefs and GU are also expected to introduce new faces at the tournament. Chiefs have signed Tendai Nyumasi and were after the services of defender, Keabetswe Jenamiso. They will be without Lemponye Tshireletso and Onalethata Tshekiso because of his involvement with the national team. GU on the other hand will also miss Jackie Mothatego and Mandla Mgadla. Defender, Thabiso Khunwane will play against his former team, Chiefs for he first time since decamping to GU recently. Khunwane joined GU on a free transfer after his contract expired with Chiefs.
