Cambridge Top in the World awards recognises the success of learners who have achieved the highest standard mark in the world for a single subject. Aarnav Ram, a learner at John Mackenzie High School, received a Cambridge Top in the World award for Mathematics (without coursework) at IGCSE level.

The Principal, Moosa Lambat, said that such awards recognised the talent, dedication and commitment of both learners and teachers. He added that Aarnav is a worthy candidate who excelled in all his subjects to be a top achiever in the school and in Botswana. We as a school and as a community are proud of Aarnav’s achievement and wish him continued success in his advanced level studies here at John Mackenzie High School.

Janet Morris, Director, Communications and Customer Relationships, said: ‘It is extremely rewarding to congratulate Cambridge learners and teachers at John Mackenzie High School who have worked so hard to achieve tremendous success in Cambridge examinations.

The results are a reflection of the enormous talent in Botswana, not only among learners but also within the teaching profession. Learners from John Mackenzie High School have a bright future ahead of them, and I wish them every success in their future.’
