The group formerly known as Dream Team consists of rappers Thuso “Bragga” Isaacs, Refilwe “Killer G” Champana and Kagiso “D-Rap” Mhapha specialises in commercial hip-hop.

Bragga told Showbiz that the group has opted to take their music to South Africa and hopefully USA where there are better marketing standards of commercial hip-hop.  “The type of music that we make is not recognised that much in the country and the market is very poor,” he said. He said the dream of making their music big is not going to happen in Botswana.  He also said their music is high quality material, which can compete on an international level, adding that they deserve proper marketing that will also benefit them financially. E.G.O only managed to sell 200 units of their latest album.

“Our music would be highly supported and appreciated in South Africa and the marketing is quite good, we are in the process of moving out of the country, this a business decision that we have made” he said. Some of the group’s tracks played as sound track music on the South African drama Rock Ville.

E.G.O member Killa G mentioned that locals do not take local artists serious and they prefer to support international artists.

“Due to this situation we have decided to go to a place where we can get the support we deserve” he said.

Killa G stated that their move is still in the works as they are struggling with finances that will sustain them when they have moved out of the country.

The rapper also said the group is set to make major collaborations with international artistes, “We are in talks with South African rappers Maggz and Khuli Chana on making collaborations” he said.

E.G.O recently dropped a single titled Oh Lawd (Oh Lord), which had more than 1000 downloads on the first day of its release.
