Ministers start phone calls with the public

The ministers phone-in initiative comes hardly two weeks after President Ian Khama promised concerned residents while addressing a Kgotla meeting around the country, that he will enable Batswana to call the ministers directly about their concerns.

The schedules, indiucating when the various Ministers can be phoned, have been released by the Office of the President

However, the Minister of Agriculture, Christiaan de Graaff, Minister Without Portfolio, Venson-Moitoi, Transport and Communication Ministers Nonofo Molefhi, Minister of Youth Sport and Culture Vincent Seretse, are yet to release their phone in times. Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Dikgakgamatso Seretse will receive telephone calls at his office on Mondays between 11am and 12pm at 3698301.

Acting Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Shaw Kgathi will receive telephone calls in his office on Wednesdays between 5pm and 6pm at 3950843 starting on July 9.

Minister for Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Tshekedi Khama will receive telephone calls on Mondays between 5pm and 6pm at 3647902.

Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Kenneth Matambo will receive calls on Thursdays between 10pm and 1pm at 3950373 commencing on July 10.

Minister of Health, Dr John Seakgosing will take calls on Mondays between 11am and 12pm at 3698301 Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Peter Siele, will receive telephone calls on Fridays between 2pm and 3pm at 3658797, commencing on July 11.
