King Tux collaborates with top Liberian rapper

King Tux believes the collaboration marks the beginning of a new season for his hip-hop ambitions, more so that it comes after being signed up by South Africa’s WAKA Talent Management. King Tux considers collaborating with Scientific, who scooped three awards in Liberia over the weekend, a breakthrough for his career. Scientific won awards for Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Best Hip-hop Artist.  “That’s quite a milestone; this is a symbol of going to the next level,” he told Showbiz of his collaboration with Scientific.

King Tux had his song played on Big Brother Africa last year and is excited about the reception of his music around the continent.

“It’s amazing.  It is a new market I am going into. Clearly I am doing something right with my music, and moving into a new market, but keeping the same authenticity,” he said.

The collaboration with the Ghana-based rapper looks set to open doors for King Tux in Liberia and Ghana where Scientific is a popular artist.

Scientific was born in Liberia and raised in Ghana due to the outbreak of war in Liberia at that time.

Scientific met King Tux through a local DJ and producer, Prince ‘DJ Royal’ Majaye.  DJ Royal produced the track.

Meanwhile, King Tux said the WAKA deal allows him to focus on his craft while the South African label takes care of his affairs.

“It changes everything.  I now have a management team that will take care of my affairs.  This helps me focus more on my music and more on my acting and producing,” he said.
