Ambitious Nico plan to raid ECCO for players

“It is true that we have sought permission from ECCO to approach at least three players currently attached to them,” he said. It is understood that Nico is in the process of signing gritty Emmanuel Nlu, right back Trinity Nko and midfielder, Mogomotsi Samson from ECCO.

Taolo said they want to beef up the squad to make Nico a force to reckon with next season.

“We are not pleased with our position last season,” he said. So far ECCO is yet to respond to Nico’s request to talk to the players they are interested in.

Mothokomedi Gaitsetse, the ECCO secretary general said they are still to respond to Nico’s request because the management has to met with the players concerned.

“We are still talking to the players asking them if they are willing to join other teams.

As soon as we finish with them, we will communicate with the clubs seeking to open negotiations with our players,” he explained.

However, Mmegi Sport is reliably informed that ECCO is trying to convince the targeted players not to leave.

However, it is said most of the players want out. “Lack of sponsorship has resulted in a number of players wanting out of the club.

With Tendai Nyumasi already out, the club officials are at pains pleading with other players not to leave,” said a source.
