Kabelano Cup organisers fine with date switch

The event will still take place at the National Stadium in Gaborone.
Kabelano Trust spokesperson, Lesego Pule said although there are logistical challenges that came with the change of date, they expect the event to be a success.
He said they have consulted all the stakeholders and everything is in order. However, some adverts which have been running will have to be changed to be in line with the new date. Tickets for the one-day spectacle are already selling at Riverwalk Web Tickets kiosk and Maitisong in Maruapula.
The event will take place at the same weekend when the Zebras will be away to Guinea Bissau for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier. Some teams are expected to be without key players during the tournament. However, Pule said that being a pre-season event, the Charity Cup will give teams an opportunity to test new players. Mochudi Centre Chiefs are the defending champions.
