The Botswana Football Association (BFA) had been given up to September by FIFA to clear its issue regarding constituency league or face suspension.

He said they still maintain that constituency league is a populist political mechanism, which resides at the pleasure of President Khama and minister Shaw Kgathi.

“Kgathi has been tasked with the monstrous responsibility to rehabilitate BDP chances in rural areas using the guise of constituency league among other short-term unsustainable programs. The minister must be ashamed of his complicity in this crime. Even if we did, we would have saved our country from possible risks of suspension, ” he said.

He said Kgathi must apologise to the nation and youths for spending money on a useless project that seeks to maximize political fortunes of his leader while dreams of their youths are deferred.

He said former BFA president David Fani has once warned and complained about constituency league and wrote a detailed report to FIFA about it.
