The show, to be staged at the Botswana Confederation of Commerce Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM), promises good entertainment.

While Charma Gal has made her name locally, Jah Prayzah is seemingly unknown on the local music scene.

The envisaged joint show with Charma Gal could be a perfect platform for the lanky singer to popularise himself in Botswana.

Charma Gal said she is delighted at the prospect of sharing the stage with the Tsviriyo hitmaker, who has been a marvel to many followers in the music industry.  She added that Jah Prayzah is expected to bring his full band.

“I cannot wait for the day,” said Charma Gal in a telephone interview.

The Matebele hitmaker said the joint show slated for Francistown is a return of favour by Jah Prayzah.  Towards the end of April this year, Charma Gal and Jah Prayzah held a joint show in Zimbabwe’s second largest city, Bulawayo.

The two have a song together titled, Darlie Wangu (My darling). The song was recorded in Zimbabwe. The collaboration between Charma Gal and Jah Prayzah is expected to help the two musicians to grow their fanbases and take their music to greater heights.

“Batswana have been watching BOStv a lot and I am pretty sure that people here know who Jah Prayzah is,” said Charma Gal, adding that Francistown is home to a number of entertainment-crazy Zimbabwean immigrants.

In a telephone interview with Showbiz from Harare, Jah Prayzah confirmed the development.

“We are going to perform our collaborated song, Darlie Wangu (My darling).  For me, it is a giant step towards the growth of my musical career,” said the musician who is also fond of wearing camouflage like Charma Gal.

He said there is a lot of potential in their collaboration.
