BVF vice president-technical, George Keotsene said the federation is willing to mediate between the two parties. “The bottom line is that we are an affected party in this matter,” he told Mmegi Sport.

He said they have requested to meet with BDF representatives after which they will meet Diphatsa.

Keotsene said Diphatsa’s initial understanding was that they could continue to play without BDF’s support. “However, it looks like there has to be a long hand over process before that could happen,” he said. He said BVF wants the process to be expedited to enable Diphatsa to continue with its league programme. He said the Diphatsa issue is also affecting other teams.

Diphatsa’s will be suspended from participating in the league until the matter is resolved. The Diphatsa men’s team has played four matches while the female one has played three.  Meanwhile, the Mascom Volleyball League continues in Francistown and Mahalapye over the weekend.

In the men’s league, Tanian face Prisons in Francistown while in Mahapye Magstimela have a double date with Mafolofolo and Desert Kings. Mafolofolo and Kings will play Orapa. In a women’s fixture in Mahalapye, Mafolofolo plays Magstimela.
