Oteng Oteng, Mooketsi Lekgetho all from UB Boxing Club face competition from Kagiso Bagwasi of Diamond Trading Company Boxing Club (DTCB) in the race for the Male Boxer of the Year award. Oteng has won the award for the past three years. Last year, he beat Lekgetho and Tirafalo Seoko to the crown.

In the Male Promising Boxer of the Year category, Kutlwano Ogaketse, Mohammed Otukile and Kefentse Molalapata will battle it out. The award was won by Kabelo Bagwasi last year. Otukile was a member of the Africa Youth Games (AYG) boxing team and scooped a gold medal.

Orapeleng Ketshametsi, Keamogetse Kenosi and Emily Tshoswane have been nominated for the Most Promising Female Boxer of the Year award.

Thebe Setlalekgosi who won the Coach of the Year award last year has been nominated once again. He faces competition from Master Luza and Dinners Sikele. Setlalekgosi is credited with bringing the best out of Kagiso and Kabelo Bagwasi at DTCB. Luza on the other hand has been behind Oteng’s exploits at UB. Seoko’s rise to fame in the boxing fraternity has been attributed to Dinners at BMC Boxing Club. Gaone Motshwanaesi, Orapeleng Mosalakgotla and Josephine Sejene will vie for the Administrator of the Year award.

The Female Boxer of the Year award will be contested by Koketso Dipugiso, Pearl Morake and Keneilwe Rakhudu.

Lone Batsalelwang, Thabo Nnanaakoko and Etsogile Ngwako are vying for the Judge of the Year award while Thatayotlhe Mothibedi, Othamile Gaolefufa and Godfrey Kablay battle for the Referee of the Year title. The contest for Affiliate of the Year crown has DTCB, UB and Glen Valley Boxing Clubs.
