He said this during a My Star staging at Botswana Television (Btv) on Friday following an incident where some people allegedly took to social media to attack the show.

The reggae artist said he has observed with concern how people abuse their freedom of expression to make degrading comments about others.

“I would like to warn all of you, it might it be one of you in the audience or the viewers at home, that you should stop your unacceptable behaviour because we do not condone such outrageous conduct in our country.

We cannot stand people who use either Facebook or any form of social media to insult and belittle other people.  I would like to strongly warn you that we are just a step away from catching you and if we do, we will set an example to the whole world by you,” said a visibly angry Master Dee.

“Watch out! We are watching you. We are on track with those who misuse social networks,” he added as he closed the show.

Speaking with Showtime, Sesinyi said he raised his concern after reading some of the comments made on social media.

“I have realised that some people use social media as a platform of insults.  Some countries have decided to ban these mediums because of such behaviour.

Governments are forced to change their regulations because of their own people and we do not want that to happen in our country because some people had decided to use the social media to show their ill-manners,” he said.
