BCP Shashe West candidate withdraws

 

The BCP national campaign manager Thapelo Ndlovu said the youthful Chimbisi tendered his withdrawal letter on Wednesday citing personal reasons. 

“Comrade Chimbisi said he will continue to support the party, parliamentary and council candidates,” said Ndlovu.

While describing Chimbisi’s withdrawal as a setback, Ndlovu however insisted that it was not crisis. He said the BCP central committee will decide the way forward. “We also confirm that the vacancy will be filled very soon. The party wishes Chimbisi well and thanks him for having accepted the party assignment. The constituency is now among the winnable ones,” said Ndlovu. 

Chimbisi could not reached for comment, as he did not answer his mobile phone. The man tipped to replace him, Motlhaleemang Moalosi, also could not be reached for comment.

Moalosi is the man who administers the Facebook page, ‘Petition to the Minister of Lands and Housing’, which wrote an appeal to the portfolio minister demanding affordable land (plots) and to make houses a priority.
