Delightful wine expo

Moderation does it some justice and this was the order of the day on Saturday afternoon at the Grand Palm gardens at the  Lengau Wine Makers Expo. The event was graced by down to earth people who took their time to absorb the feel of the environment. The outdoors area with the lawn and open spaces gave everyone present room to breathe and just to be able to walk about freely and enjoy mingling with others .

For a change, the atmosphere had a sense of relaxation and newness about it as the patrons were not the usual familiar Gaborone faces that can never be missed at an event around town. The wine makers expo hosted six wine makers estates that included  Flat Roof Manor,Durbanville Hills, Fleur du Cap, Lifestyle  Pangracz and Zonnebloem who all had variations of wine from white to red wine as well as from fruity to sweet and dry wines.

As patrons moved about, they were treated to tutorials on how to have their wine and what food bests suits to be served with a particular wine. They were also guided on how to drink wine because unlike other drinks, one does not just gulp it down, but instead has to drink it, feel it and let the taste mature in the mouth before swallowing it.With wine detail does matter and play a role in how one prefers his/her glass or bottle .

Prior to hosting the expo, Lengau Wine Company unveiled their wine tasting room. Lengau which is a subsidiary of Distill, has grown from strength to strength and they have established themselves as one of the biggest wine distributors in Botswana.
