Mingo, a witness in murder case

 

Aminoni Mojokeri aka Mingo Touch and the deceased were reportedly attacked and stabbed by a gang at the  filling station in 2009.

The bloody attack saw another man also lose his life on his way to hospital while Mingo sustained multiple stab wounds to his back.

The Directorate of Public Prosecution intends to bring up to eight witnesses to the stand. Two former accused persons have now turned state witness in the case.

In the beginning there were three accused persons, but the other two have since turned into state witnesses.

The accused, Phenyo Setshwantsho, who is being represented by attorney, Banyatsang Mmekwa, is out on bail.

Previously, in 2009, Mingo walked into The Monitor offices to narrate a near brush with death on that fateful night.

With a bandaged hand and stitched eye Mingo said that he was in a car with about seven of his friends.

He said that as they reached the filling station, the mob attacked them and started to stab them.The Tshaba Tsotsi hit maker is amongst the eight witnesses the state intends to call to the stand.
