In April 2013, G8 Ministers in London adopted the Declaration on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict, while at the UN General Assembly in September 2013 launched a Declaration of Commitment to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, which has now been endorsed by around 150 governments.
The forthcoming conference in London aims to turn these political commitments into a programme of action. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Angelina Jolie will co-host the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London running from tomorrow until Friday.
