One dead, another injured at BCL Mine

According to a statement from the Mine’s public relations and marketing manager James Molosankwe, the victim was confirmed dead upon arrival at the mine hospital.  Molosankwe said the victim’s colleague, who is a machine man, was also injured and is at a medical facility in Gaborone.

“Our follow ups have revealed that he is in a stable condition,” he said. The name of the deceased will be released once the next of kin have been informed, the mine’s spokesperson said.  “The Inspector of Mines is currently undertaking investigations into the accident’s cause. We send our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and wish our colleague in hospital a speedy recovery,” Molosankwe said.
