Athletics: Sekgopi on the 100m finals

The young sprinter managed to clock 10.79 seconds that also made him to be the only athlete from Botswana to get the first position in all the Africa Youth Games athletic races that were hosted on Wednesday at the National Stadium.
The 100m race finals are on Thursday afternoon.
Nigeria’s Kenechukwu Iloakagbune finished second while Namibia’s Rowinn Engelbrecht finished third.
Meanwhile South Africa’s Yolandi Stander won gold in the women’s shotput final with Egypt’s Khaled Amira Mahmoud winning the silver and Mercy Laker winning the Bronze.
In the men discus final Egypt’s Mohamed Hassan Elshabnawry won the gold medal, Libya’s Zakaria Alahmer silver medal and South Africa’s Jason Van Rooyen got the bronze medal.
