The 21-year-old who made it to the top seven of My Star 2012, will give her fans a sample of the album by releasing a single titled Show Dem.

Ntshole said being eliminated from the show did not stop her from pursuing her dream to record an album.

“I started collaborating with big musicians including the likes of ATI, Kast and Spiza just to name a few.  The collaborations helped me grow my fan base, but more importantly prepared me for the next big step, which is to be a recording artist,” she said.

The University of Botswana Mineral Engineering student said although it has been a couple of years since Batswana last saw her on stage, she hopes that she will be able to gain their love back with her single.

“The track is an up tempo beat fused with pop music, with a house feel to it.  I am encouraging young women to be the best they can be and conquer the world because they have it in them to achieve everything they set their mind to,” she said.  Ntshole said that she decided to sing Pop, as it is easy to market.

“I am looking at reaching the international market and this genre, so I am confident that people abroad will recognise my talent,” she said. Ntshole told Showbiz that she is working with talented producers including Chef Gustos from Homerun Records.

“Gustos is known in the country as one of the best. He understands me as an individual and mostly the type of message I want to send through with my music,” she said.

Ntshole said she decided to work with different producers to give her album some kind of diversity, giving her songs different beats.  Already the album is half-way done. “This is an album to look out for this year, it is going to be epic as I am writing my songs based on my experiences so it will be telling a story of my life, which am pretty sure a lot of people out there will relate to,” she said.

Ntshole urged Batswana to start supporting local music.  “The reason why our artists are not progressing in the music industry is because they do not get the support they deserve.  If an artist is loved in their native country then this love spreads to others, which results in more CDs being brought,” she said.
