Netball: Kenya hand Botswana first AYG defeat

Botswana's brightest netball prospect Boikanyo Selogetse was the star of the show as the team put up a stellar performance against Kenya in an exciting encounter.

But Kenya were unstoppable in the final quarter to win the tightly contested game.

Botswana led 21-18 at half time.

Coach Abednico Chitale had rested his main players Sarona Hans and Tara Matija.

He brought the two after half time. Hans' introduction brought in stability at the back.

It was 30-30 at the end of the third quarter.

Midway through the last quarter the two teams were level at 35-35 and it was anyone's game.

Kenya eventually won the game.
