Though the launch failed to pull expected crowds, the organisers alluded the disappointing turn up to the time factor, which they said was supposed to start at 9:30 am with a motorcade.

However, the rally only started after 3pm at Lady Mitchison Primary School football pitch.

Party supporters who included Members of Parliament (MP) Dr Gloria Somolokae, Phillip Makgalemele, Odirile Motlhale, Botsalo Ntuane, Mephato Reatile, former Kgatleng West MP Rakwadi Modipane, and party veterans Ray Molomo and Patrick Balopi were disappointed to see daylight burning without any fanfare.Balopi was the guest speaker at the launch.  The veteran said that he is glad to see young Batswana participating in politics. He added that Moruakgomo should go to Parliament and represent fellow Batswana to turn this country around and come up with sustainable projects.

He said that this country has young, capable and educated Batswana that can take the country somewhere.

Makgalemele described Moruakgomo as a hard worker.  He said that Moruakgomno was pivotal in the formation of the Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) policies.  He added that it was at the BNYC that they worked very closely and built their friendship.

Other dignitaries included Gabz fm jazz presenter Shima Monageng who challenged the incumbent Molepolole South MP Daniel Kwelagobe during the primaries last year.

Monageng was the Master of Ceremonies (MC) while Tosh Kgotlele from Mochudi West gave welcome remarks.

For his part, Moruakgomo said that he needed no introduction in politics and therefore appealed to Bakgatla to vote him into Parliament. “Bakgatla don’t hesitate to vote for me as I will make sure that I take you out of Israel to Canaan,” Moruakgomo said, adding that he is “the truth, the way and the light”.
