Court President Graham Hambira ordered the singer to pay Moatlhodi the money has owed since December 2013.

Hambira revealed that Thabang has been playing hide and seek with the police who had a challenge locating his whereabouts after a summons was issued.

In an interview, Hambira said that Thabang did not deny the charges brought against him by the complainant.  He said that the singer pleaded his case and stated that because he is unemployed he can only afford to pay Moatlhodi P100 per month until he finishes the whole amount.

He, however, said that the court could not grant him his wishes and ordered him to pay the P2,200 that he owes Moatlhodi in a period of two months, being end of May and June.

Failure to do so will mean that the singer will get his property confiscated to settle his debt.

Thabang’s relationship with the woman in question could not be established as Hambira said he could not go further into the issue.  He said that Moatlhodi pointed out she had known Thabanag for sometime before loaning him the money.

Prior to his case Thabang had two women who are cousins spilling the beans to Showbiz about the artist’s double-crossing.  The two women, Thabita (last name withheld) and Neo Tebatso, at the time alleged that the former lent him P10,000.

His then live-in girlfriend Thabitha said he needed the money for a trip to Zimbabwe.  He is also alleged to have borrowed her camera and smartphone before going for the trip but later claimed to have lost his luggage along with the camera and cellphone before disappearing.

Thabitha had said: ”He has been ducking me when I requested he pay me back.  I then discovered that he has been doing this to other women.  I returned to his house and met a Gaborone West court bailiff who had come to confiscate some of his property because he had failed to pay two other women.”

Thabang, however, has denied dating both women at the same time and dismissed Tabitha’s claims.  He has said she was only frustrated that he broke off their relationship after discovering she had not told him of the other man in her life.

He also denied being raided and losing any valuable possessions.

However, a bailiff at the Gaborone West Customary Court confirmed to Showbiz that indeed Thabang’s Audio Mixer, LG computer and its keyboard have been confiscated after he failed to settle his debts with two other women.
