He stressed the need to get players with experience if they are to do well in the league. He said a team need more than money to survive in the competition. Magagane presented the financial report for the past three years which indicated that costs have been escalating. The report shows that during the 2010-2011 season, the club spent P68, 000. The amount increased to P81, 000 and P147,000 in the last two seasons. Magagane said they received P12,500 in grants from Botswana Football Association (BFA) every four months.

“We are operating on a zero balance at the moment.

If we did not have people to assist us, we would owe P231,000. The promotion means everyone must come on board and rally behind the team,” said Magagane. He called on supporters to forget about their differences and work together for the sake of the club. With promotion to the topflight, he estimated that the club needs a minimum of P400,000 per season.

He said the club has paid affiliation fee to the BFA and by July 31, it will submit players’ contracts.  Magagane announced at the AGM that the club has cut ties with its technical sponsor. He explained that the club wants to source kits from the manufacturer and make money in the process.  Meanwhile, Letlapeng will appear between the BFA Disciplinary Committee (DC) on Thursday to answer charges of fielding an ineligible player. The accusation was made by Black Forest.
