Sua Flamingoes seek return to First Division

Along with Palapye All Stars, Flamingoes are the only side with notable play-off experience. Their rivals are in it for the first time.

The weekend preliminary play-offs will feature four Division One champions from the BFA’s eastern bloc.

All matches are billed for Francistown Stadium.

The eastern bloc consists of the Tswapong, Central, Selebi-Phikwe and the Francistown Division One Regional League.

In the opening fixture, Sua Flamingoes play Tsabothe tomorrow morning followed by the duel between Selebi-Phikwe region champions, Real Rovers and Palapye FC from the Tswapong region. Real Rovers will have a busy day, as they will play two matches tomorrow.

First, they lock horns with Central region champions, Tsabothe who will also be playing their second match of the day.

Real Rovers will then play Sua Flamingoes in Sunday’s first fixture before Palapye All-Stars play Tsabothe. Sua Flamingoes will close Sunday fixtures with a game against All Stars.

The first match starts at 8am with the last match kicking-off at 4pm.

The top two teams after the weekend matches will play against the top two from the preliminary northern bloc play-offs to decide the final two to be promoted to the First Division.

“The final play-off matches between the eastern and northern bloc teams have been billed for Orapa on the weekend May 17,” said Obvious Moyo of the Francistown Regional Football Association (FRAFA).
