Born to a Mongwato father and Kalanga mother and bred in Serowe Nkhurutshi the poet popularly known as Tsikitsiki Ke A Gotela told Showbiz the album includes old and new poems.

Nkhurutshi, whose tongue twisting earned him the respect of fellow poets, is confident that the upcoming CD will open doors for him.

“One or two poets have come up with compilations.  But I think they lacked one or two things, which I believe I have mastered and included,” said Nkhurutshi, quickly dispelled insinuations of blowing his own trumpet well before the CD is released.

Furthermore, Nkhurutshi is of the belief that his compilation of poems will be unique.   He worked with a number of poets based in Francistown under the Poetic Omnibus stable to put together the compilation.

“My imagination soars among the sun, moon and stars as I write my poems motivated by the life struggles we face in our society,” said poesy Nkhurutshi.

To him, the challenges he faces in life give him the phrases he recites.

Nkhurutshi said he has worked very hard to ensure that he releases a well-rounded product for the long awaiting fans to appreciate.

Poetry has been Nkhurutshi’s elixir.  He writes on different subjects but mostly on life’s moments and recites his poems in Setswana, Kalanga and Ndebele.

Poetic Omnibus founder Kagiso Obokeng said despite all the challenges experienced by artists in the country, it is always encouraging to see good talent put to good use.

Obokeng said Poetic Omnibus has been and will always throw their weight behind Nkhurutshi in his current and future projects.
