Samsung fashion show

Speaking at a press conference Mokgadi expressed that she is a social media junkie who uses the networking sites to push her brand.

She said that prior to the fashion show she had embarked on a Facebook campaign with a theme Dare To Be You or #DTYB to encourage people to dedicate a moment in their day to be themselves.

On talking about her range, the designer cited that she had different influences including her husband who inspired the mens wear.

She also added that she wanted to design practical clothes that can be worn as a part of the everyday life but still does things differently so as to leave a mark.

True to her word of making a mark, Mokgadi did indeed impress with her show.  Instead of having models strut their stuff on the runway she had models showcase her work in a still manner.  The models walked in, assumed their positions and adapted the ‘statue’ pose that allowed the audience to move around, feel the fabric and bask in the range that was showcased.

For her part, Samsung Key Accountant Manager Topollo Pilane said that they partnered with Mokgadi because of her pro-active status.

She added that they could have not have found a better way to launch the NX camera than partner with Mokgadi to do the unveiling through a fashion show.

Pilane further said that although the NX mini camera is available in the international market and will soon reach the Botswana market within a period of less than two weeks or so.

She said the launch was to allow people to see the product before it comes so as to know what to look forward to.
