Dineo Ranaka no show at Legit

The high-energy entertainer was supposed to launch her winter label called ‘Legit Loves Dineo’ at Rail Park Legit store.
The show, which attracted quite a large audience, was met with disappointment when the SA celebrity did not turn up.
The brand manager of the store Ocean Ngobeni told Showtime that Dineo could not make it as her passport had expired. She explained that they only realised this when they reached the boarder gate.
“It is very unfortunate that Dineo is not here with us right now, but the show has to go on.
We are aware that many young women wanted to finally meet her and see her in her winter label, but we encountered a problem which was beyond our control and for that we apologise,” she said.
She said that they fully accept their mistake as they were supposed to have been responsible enough to make sure that no problem occurred during the travel, but all this was overlooked as they thought they had all that was required.
Ngobeni added that electing Dineo for the winter wear was easy as they realised that many youths look up to her as she has made a tremendous mark in the entertainment scene as a radio and television host.
“She is an inspiration to a lot of young girls out there who have big dreams and that is what our brand is all about.
We are focusing on making beautiful clothing for the youth who aspire to make it big in life. Dineo’s range is loud and grabs attention just like Dineo herself,” she said.
Ngobeni said that although the star is sometimes in the spotlight for wrong reasons, this does not mean that she does not have her good side.
“Nobody is perfect and the same goes for Dineo. She is one of the strongest women South Africa has, she is very bold and always stands for what she believes in.
This range is about young girls finding their ‘inner strong Dineo’ in themselves and going out to make their dreams a reality,” she said.
However, the disappointment, the mood of the audience lifted when they saw former Legit Ambassador and TV personality Zizo Beda. Zizo was the master of ceremony who somehow managed to turn all the frowns into smiles with her jokes and give-away vouchers.
Other than that, the models managed to capture the attention of the audience when they showcased Dineo’s winter wear, which is described as exciting and sassy.
