“We expect him to arrive today (Wednesday) and a meeting will be set up where a decision will be made,” Pheto said. He stated that CAF competitions are important but clubs can only participate in them if they have enough money.  Mochudi Centre Chiefs represented the country in CAF Champions League this season but crashed out in the preliminary round to Zimbabwean giants, Dynamos. Gaborone United (GU) took part in the CAF Confederations Cup, but faltered in the first round against South African side, Supersport United.

Pheto said the mood at Rollers following the Premier League success is very good given their record this season. “We are very happy with this achievement. And I can tell you that we are not only excited that we eventually won the title, but again we have been the most successful club this season.

We have reached the final of the Mascom Top Eight and lost only twice in the league. We are very excited about this,” he said. Rollers only lost to against Extension Gunners and Motlakase Power Dynamos in their first two fixtures this season. “We are waiting for the technical team’s report where they are going to give us details about the squad and whether it needs to be strengthened next season. They will also tell us the challenges they faced and how those challenges can be overcome,” he said.

He hinted that they may celebrate their success this season in a number ways including a trophy tour. “In this way, we will be bringing our supporters closer but that will depend on whether there is enough money to do that,” he said.
