He was quick to point out that their efforts might not bear fruits if there are no coaching clinics for coaches. He said that for the game to grow in the country, there is need for the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) to organise coaching clinics.
“Coaches are the ones responsible for the growth of the game.
We have embarked on reviving the club and growing the game in Francistown and the surrounding areas,” said Botha. If he had his way, he would invite rugby experts from South Africa to mentor local coaches. Meanwhile, Tuskers are working to establish a development side to feed the senior team. Recently, Tuskers formed a female rugby side that is currently plying its trade in the ongoing women league.
