“Most of the children acquired the skills that we taught them during the coaching sessions,” Campbell said. The CWB team donated cricket equipment such as bats, stumps and balls to the schools they visited. Campbell said they would like to see more children playing cricket.

Another CWB official, Adam Park-Elliot said while they were going around, they were not only coaching cricket but spread HIV/AIDs awareness messages. The former Scotland women’s team coach said the children enjoyed every moment they spent with the CWB team. He said Botswana cricket was is doing well after seeing the flood lights installed at the BCA Oval.

Park-Elliot told Mmegi Sport that they will return to Botswana later this year. CWB has visited countries such as Uganda, Kenya and Cameroon. Gaborone Cricket Club official, Ravi Angara said CWB is doing a good job by creating HIV/AIDS awareness and making children understand the importance of being involved in sports.
