The event organisor, Kopano Coangae told Showbiz that bringing Reason was solely based on the fact that he has over the years built a musical career and image for keenly followed by Botswana urban youth.

“We felt the need to bring him as we had a lot of our Kosher followers requesting we bring him for a show.

Having broken into the music industry at a young age, the artist has star power and longevity that belies his age” he said.

He further explained that Kosher Nights is an events management company founded in 2010.

He added that the Kosher Nights experience represents a lifestyle of glamour and elegance, mixed with an ambiance of various music genres (Hip Hop, RnB, and Dance Hall), social interaction, and a display of performance and fine arts.

“It serves as a platform for various industries, within entertainment, to come together and showcase their products and talents,” he said.

Coangae said Reason is excited to be coming to Botswana, as it will be his first time performing in here.

“The hip pop guru is ready to blow Batswana away.

When I spoke to him yesterday (Monday) he could not hide his excitement and said he is preparing something different that we are not used to, so there will be lots of surprises in store,” he said.

Reason has two albums to his name, which have been doing well.

The albums The Reasoning and the latest being Audio3D gave out smashing hits such as Do It Like I Do and Tla K’o Bone that have been getting a lot of airplay at many radio and television stations.

“Reason’s tracks are creative, always hot and his lyrics vividly depict what he is experiencing.

After releasing The Reasoning to much praise, Reason has since gone on to work with some of South Africa’s best rappers, singers and producers.

Reason received a lot of recognition after his debut album and I must say, his new album, Audio3D, is phenomenal,” he said.

The show will also feature local hip pop Disc Jockeys (DJ) including, DJ Fauz, DJ Cupid, DJ Root and Ozzy The Great.

“This line up was chosen mainly based on the fact that these DJs are also well loved in the local hip pop scene.

They are considered the best, so we only wanted the best for this show,” he said.
