“I have no reason to be disappointed because our destiny was not in our own hands,” he said after his charges drew 1-1 with ECCO in Francistown to lose the title to Rollers who made sure by beating Miscellaneous. He said Miscellaneous had been on poor form so there was nothing to show they were going to beat Rollers.

“Again, I knew that our clash against ECCO will not be an easy match. We knew that it will be hard to pick maximum points here. This is why I am saying that I am not disappointed by losing the league title to Rollers,” he said. Sithole told Mmegi Sport that he intends to keep the majority of his players and sign at least two to beef up the squad. He promised that in the next campaign, Chiefs will be playing their trade mark passing game. This season Magosi have been criticised for playing boring football.

“Since I took over in the second half of the season, I have been trying to re-introduce the good brand of football that the team is known for. I think the players are responding well because of late, we have been playing a neat passing game that the club is known for. Next season people will see a different Chiefs,” Sithole vowed.

Meanwhile ECCO coach, Matshidiso Kowa has said that he intends to sign around six new players to bolster his squad in a bid to fight for top honours. Mamoja Diski endured a poor season and for the first time since they were promoted to the elite league, they finished outside the top eight.

“To improve our fortunes next season, we have to sign quality players,” Kowa said.

ECCO’s poor form this season has been attributed to the club’s failure to sign quality players in the off-season to replace those who left.
