Ladies are amazing..

For example a single lady can start a certain trend and the rest of the female species will follow in no time. As if they were told, “follow the leader”.

I remember when those bags printed ‘South Africa’ bags first hit town, only a few number of ladies had them, whilst others claimed to be patriotic about Botswana, and made it apparent and clear that they will never at any given chance purchase the bags.

Only to my surprise to find the same ladies a few months later rocking the same hand bags they mocked.

I was in shock all right, as that escalated very well, I mean what could have changed their minds? Ladies! Ladies! My God.

This made me reach a consensus that ladies like copying each other, whether from the way we carry ourselves to the way we dress.

Don’t get me wrong here, although everyone has their own individuality, and with that turn to judge how others do their things because its not similar to how according to them is the right way to do things (dress, act, love etc), at the end of it all it falls back to the fact that we are sisters, sometimes we turn to think alike, as much we would hate to admit that’s the sad truth.

We also tend to copy each other’s style as a result.

Sometimes I  overhear some ladies discussing how a certain lady (victim of gossip) thinks she is beautiful and she lures and woos men into her hands.

This according to me is plain envy, threat, jealously that arises due to insecurities that some ladies bear and the only way they think they can get rid of them, is if they gossip about others, bad mouth them and try to pin them down.

There’s nothing wrong with disliking someone’s ways, but that does not make you any much of a saint, as the saying goes ‘we are all sinners, nobody is perfect’.

The point I am trying to make here is that ladies inspire each other in ways unimaginable.

We might not realise it, but it is what it is. Yes each one of us is different, but we look up to each other. We are a constant source of inspiration. We are ONE. Lesego Mohako
