While giving feedback to one of the contestants, Tshegofatso Serite, Shanti-Lo praised the young woman’s singing, and extended an invitation for her to sing at his wedding, when it happens.

Tshego, mesmerised Shanti Lo during a rendition of Michael Jackson’s Will You Be There?  Although Master Dee was not amused as he described Tshego’s performance as her worst in the competition so far, Shanti Lo could not be swayed as he continued to shower more accolades on her. “I am deeply touched by your originality for the choruses and you are doing a great job.  Please keep it up and think of singing at my wedding if I would ever do so,” Shanti Lo said.

Shanti Lo went on to tell Tshego that she must continue singing after My Star even if she does not win.

“You fit your tone, range and originality and you are a star,” Shanti-Lo said.

While the Friday show was characterised by good performances, it was an unlucky night for Tebogo, Molly, Kesego and Tshephang, who did not get enough votes to stay in the competition.  It was not an easy decision for the judges to make, which forced one of them, Kgomotso to abstain.  Nishu tried to spice up his performance with dancers, but did not perform to the judges’ expectations.

“You were better off singing alone not with those gentlemen, and they were like poles,” said Kgomotso.  Shanti Lo also took his turn to hit at the dancers by stating that they were not synchronised at all.

Eric, the lad representing Moshupa did not disappoint as he performed End Of The Road by Boyz II Men.
