Letlapeng are close to celebrations this weekend.

Matters are compounded for Forest by the fact that in tomorrow’s clash they need to win by eight clear goals to finish second. This is a gargantuan task complicated by the fact that the match will be in Letlapeng’s Ramotswa backyard.

A win will give Letlapeng the title, while Forest are eyeing second spot that will guarantee a shot in qualifying for the topflight through the play-offs. Letlapeng go into the match after a 1-0 loss to Modipane United, while Forest beat Mochudi Buffaloes 3-1.

Second placed Rolling Boys will follow proceedings in Ramotswa closely as a heavy Letlapeng defeat may allow them to steal the title. Rolling Boys face Prisons XI at Wonder Sporting Ground.

Letlapeng chairperson, Sydney Magagane has left everything in the hands of God. He says after working hard the entire season, it is now up to the creator to reward their efforts. He told Mmegi Sport that the only thing that they will be focusing on when they enter the field tomorrow is to win the title.

He said the club management has prepared a title-winning team and nothing can stop them now.

“We have managed to hold on to the spot until today. We managed to do that because we took each game as it came. Good preparations always bring positive results,” he asserted. Magagane said they kept the same players they had last season and the coach, Thaloba Nthaga.

In the quiet village of Mmankgodi, Forest have been going through their paces with the aim of dashing Letlapeng’s promotion dreams.

Forest chairperson, Mompati Ditiro said preparations for the game have been going well and they do not fear Letlapeng. “My players are ready for the encounter. The morale is high in the camp. The only injury is that of Tshenolo Mankata who broke his arm during our match against Jwaneng Comets,” said Ditiro.

He said the intention is to score as many goals as possible today. He said when the season started, their plan was to compete and finish in a good position. So far, they are impressed with their achievement.

In other matches, Black Peril play Modipane United at Tlokweng VDC Ground, while Masitaoka will do battle against Killer Giants in Molepolole. Mogoditshane Fighters welcome Gantsi Terrors and Buffaloes play Comets in Mochudi. Kick-off for all matches is 3:30 pm.
