Masilo said the plight to help the government in taking care of the future of tomorrow lies in each and every individual as the country moves towards achieving its 2016 pillars.

His continuous appeal to the private sector seems to be bearing fruit as on Friday the centre, Sedibeng Sa Lerato received assistance from Rainbow English Medium School.

He said the centre continues to have an increase in the number of children resulting in more help needed to keep it going forward and providing care to the orphans and the less privileged.

During the handing over of the items, it was announced that the project  was entirely carried out by the  students who joined hands in raising funds to acquire 20 chairs and kitchen utensils ranging from plates, cups and cutlery.

The centre offers orphans and vulnerable children aged between five and 15 years Bible lessons, counseling sessions, and other support skills for two hours every Friday and Saturday. The centre also provides meals to the children and clothes where possible.

Speaking to The Monitor after the donation, the centre founder and caretaker, Martinah Mogapi said she was happy that the centre continues to receive support and help from members of the community.

Mogapi hailed the school help saying the equipment, especially the chairs came at a time  the centre was experiencing an increase in number of students.

Mogapi said the centre has become a safe haven for many children who have now become her own children, who always seek refuge in her as most are exposed to abuse at an early age leaving them emotionally traumatised
