Botsalano launches revision books for Std IV

The revision books, the first of its kind by a local publisher are on Cultural Studies, English, Science, mathematics, Setswana and Creative & Performing Arts.

The publishers’ marketing manager Ace Podi Mooki said that although they largely publish for primary, pre-primary and junior secondary schools, they have realised that there was no revision material for lower classes.

“The books have been in production for the last four years. They are aligned to the requirement of the curriculum.

“We have published revision material for Standard Seven. They helped many schools improve the results. Now we are doing Standard Four revision, our vision is to improve performance at that level. We have been motivated by the success of our Standard Seven revision books which have been perceived as user friendly,” Mooki told The Monitor.

He said they are currently giving each school a set of books to analyse and give feedback. “Writing a book is no easy job, but teachers can read it and make constructive observations.”

Mooki added that they will engage sales representatives across the country to market the books to schools.
