Sidat re-elected Gaborone Cricket Club chairperson

Sidat got 131 votes while his opponent, Sanjay Goel had 84.

Goel’s defeat came as a surprise as he was seen as the favourite and a candidate that would ring changes at the club.   Sidat’s deputy, Sharfan Ahmed was also re-elected after receiving 133 votes to outclass his rival CM Suri who had 87 votes. Secretary Ravi Angara was also retained.  The new committee members are Imran Zakir, Riyazuddin Sheikh, Aalap Shah and Irfan Ashgar. They join previous members, Kashif Amin, Asim Siddique and Mohammed Mazahir.
