The event, which is the annual Hotties Women’s Soccer Tournament, had men drooling over the contenders on Saturday at the Duma fm grounds.  The tournament started with female models parading in cars around the grounds wearing outfits designed by Dlala Company.

Now in its fifth year it had a slow start, has proven to grow in leaps and bounds attracting major sponsors to the event such as Prime Projects Company, Prime Events and Heineken.

The event, despite starting later than the allocated time of 10:00 am, got back on track after the model parade when teams started battling it out on the field for the prize money of P2,500.

The tournament is the first women’s non-professional sporting tournament in the country that focuses on soccer for fitness.  It also adds an element of entertainment with local artists and deejays.

The day’s event progressed well though for some it seemed less exciting, especially for those who only showed up for the entertainment.

Many people could be heard complaining about the lack of ‘great’ music, especially during the time when teams went off the field.

If it were not for the delay in setting up equipment the music would have provided much-needed amusement.

The artist line up at the event included a group of young drummers and musicians Team Distant, T-izzy, Cupid, Chrispin the drummer, Ricky Lamar, Phouboy, House Junkies, Nt Base, Miss Kellz, DJ Dizzy Dee, and international surprises from as far as Mafikeng, South Africa.
