Speaking to the organiser of the show, Phenyo Ntshinogang mentioned that the South Africa Music Award (SAMA) award winner has been on a few years’ hiatus after releasing The Third Tick in 2010.  His fans will welcome the release of his latest album The Forth Tick, which Ntshinogang said was worth the wait.

He pointed out that they decided to bring Clock, as his songs are currently the most playlisted at the moment.  He said the DJ recently released a single that has been topping music charts in Botswana, including in the rest of Africa.

“The song has been receiving a lot of airplay from so many different stations.  It is not only this song but others are also doing very well in the entertainment scene,” he said.

Ntshinogang mentioned that the house heavyweight producer teamed up with the Cape Town-based pop band Beatenberg to offer fans the contagious track called, Pluto (Remember You).

“Everybody loves and knows Pluto.  This is the kind of song that makes one dance even if they do not want to dance.  So far a lot of people have been showing interest in the show,” he said, adding that the single spells hit release.

He told Showbiz: “The superb vocals from Beatenburg who sound remarkable on the single and the brilliantly created beats from DJ Clock who, if you listened to, wisely fuses many elements into the song.  The song is sure going to be a contender in the year-end countdown come December.”

He added that Clock’s latest addition has so far taken a lot of people by surprise.

“DJ Clock has done the unthinkable by adding yeast to his 4th Tick - A Clockumentary album, and is set to make history in the process,” he said. He explained that the six-disc project consists of 14 tracks on the first and is a typical DJ Clock sound set, while the second has 13 tracks having a vocal treat.  The third is where people will get an Afro House excursion, but on a soulful tip.

Ntshinogang added that disc five consists of deep, underground and an acid jazz sound, with the sixth disc is on a Durban vs Joburg kwaito and hip-hop tip.

The project features the cream of the crop including Professor, Charactor, Winnie Khumalo, Kabomu, Bantu Soul, Mlu, Mandoza, Alaska, Thebe, T’zozo, DJ Bongz, DJ Tira, Mshoza, Wanda Baloyi, Harrison Crump, Mshega, Mo-T, Mono-T & Mapiano, Reason, Yves, Khanyo, Menzi & Mr Selwyn and many more.  Also making an appearance is the masked prankster Mzekezeke of Squqa Ngamadolo who is making a return to the music scene. He is featured on the track Mzekezeke (Angeke Balunge).

Ntshinogang said people should expect not only fire works, but also a very interesting night as the local DJs on the line up have already started gearing up for the event.

“DJ Clock is ready and the DJs here are also ready.  All that is left is for the day to come so that we entertain the crowd the best way we know how,” he said.
