According to Gaolatlhe Kediemetse, headliners for the show are Botswana’s Goodie and Brooks and top South African comedian Thapelo ‘Tips’ Seemise also known as Shampoo. The South African funny man is of the series Taxi Ride and currently doing comedy on SABC 1 Sports at 10 hosted by Thomas Mlambo.

“In 2009 he was a Top 6 finalist on the second season of the SABC1 reality competition talent search So You Think You’re Funny. Since 2011 Shampooniser as his fans call him has been a regular feature at the Blacks Only comedy festivals and in 2012 he landed a leading role in David Kau’s feature film Taxi Ride, which was spun off into a series that aired in 201,” said Kediemetse.

Another performer is two-time President Day Competition winner and well established comedian Brooks.

Kediemetse said Brooks’ unique dry sense of humor, quick wit and intelligence made him one of the country’s most popular comedians and ensured that audiences are left in stitches wherever he goes. He has been featured on the Btv programme Letlhabile and his skits have played on RB2 Saturday Sports’ show.

With a background of hosting live comedy shows, Goodie The Badd, who hails from Serowe is one of the headliners. Goodie is the first comedian in the country to record a one-man stand up comedy show. He is an energetic comedian who likes engaging the audience with his witty satirical views. He attacks Botswana myths while celebrating the different ways in which Botswana tribes express themselves.

The comedian is an eloquent speaker who used to be sport commentator on Btv. He is an all-round artist who has also dabbled in poetry, is a self-taught chef and marathon runner.

One of Botswana funniest from Mochudi, Legusty is also slated to perform. Legusty started his trade on Kwest Cafe Sunday Comedy shows. He is one of the rising young comedians in the country.

The other performer Phenyo The Master is no stranger to comedy. He brings clean, high energy, fun and clever comedy to the show. He toured with some of the industry’s top comedians and been featured on Laff-A-Lot shows.

Always known for bringing up and coming comedians to the forefront of Botswana comedy, each show we see a new comedian introduced and given chance to share stage with top acts. Making her comedy debut this year is Her Majesty Mosetsana by far the funniest female comedian in the country. Also on the roster is Zimbabwean, Charles.

“We have had tremendous support for our past show from both the public and the media alike. We promise a rocking show with this production and we have a bigger, better venue to accommodate more people and people must come in numbers to support us,” says Kediemetse

“Our main aim really is to see stand-up comedy growing in Botswana and as part of entertainment and also change the comedy scene in our country,” he added.
