Moyo to replace Mabogo at Fighters

Moyo has been spotted on the Fighters bench in the past few matches. Mabogo was put in charge of guiding the team after the coach Enos Mmesi was sacked due to poor performance. Mmesi came under fire when the team went two games without a win.

There was a period when Fighters was under the guidance of Botsang Batlhalefi.

The side had only collected seven points by the time Mabogo took over. At the moment, the Debswana First Division South outfit has accumulated 24 points but lost 1-0 to Rolling Boys over the weekend.

“I might not have gone to a coaching school, but I am using the experience from my playing days. I am now ploughing that back to my players. You can see from the way they play that I am doing something positive. I have also signed youthful players who are thirsty to prove themselves and that is what a team needs,” said Mabogo.

Meanwhile, in the first division south, Letlapeng FC increased their lead at the top of the log over the weekend after beating Jwaneng Comets 2-1. The side has 37 points; three points clear of Black Forest who occupies second spot with 34 points.

Forest did not have a good weekend after suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Black Peril. Boys are seating third with 33 points followed by Comets with 28 points. The going continues to get tough for Masitaoka who are at the bottom of the log with 15 after a 1-0 defeat to Gantsi Terrors. First Division South League secretary, Sydney Magagane informed Mmegi Sport that only teams that are behind schedule will play this coming weekend.
